transfermedia introduces the first automated tech solution “jay” for metadata in film and receives support from a strong investment partner
transfermedia is expanding its business development unit on metadata in film and is launching the new tech solution jay. For this purpose, transfermedia has found a strong partner in Raw Ventures, an international tech investment company with strong interest to support mediatech innovation in the Brandenburg area.
With its advanced technology jay, transfermedia provides novel business opportunities for broadcasters and VoD platforms in the field of in-stream interaction and in-stream shopping. For the first time ever, jay links metadata from the various stages of film production and makes it directly available for distribution — offering a detailed data set with information down to scene level. “With jay, we are enabling a whole new content experience and are paving the way for desperately needed new business possibilities for any streaming distributor. Founded in the iconic film location Babelsberg, transfermedia is researching and developing state-of-the-art media technologies for film, TV and streaming. In November 2021, transfermedia launched Filmdatabox (FDX), a unique solution for automated Film Data Management.
