At the beginning of May, the BMBF reviewers selected our project outline “NEWS-POLYGRAPH” together with 14 other project proposals out of a total of 53 submitted. We are very pleased about the success of our sketch and are the only network from the Berlin-Brandenburg region in the current round.
The aim of our project is to develop suitable solutions for the media industry for the early detection of fake content or false information. For this purpose, methods of the key technology “artificial intelligence” are to be used. In essence, a platform is to be developed that supports journalists and media professionals in the multimodal detection of disinformation. Together with the partners Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society, Crowdee, Deutsche Welle, Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology, MediaTech Hub Potsdam, Merantix Labs, Technische Universität Berlin and Trafo MediaTech GmbH, we will design an innovation roadmap for a later implementation phase.
