ABOUT

Founded and based at the iconic film location Babelsberg, transfermedia production services is researching and developing state-of-the-art media technologies for film, TV and streaming. In 2022, after years of research and development and with the support of an international tech investment company, transfermedia launched jay – a pioneering metadata technology for film. Our tech solution enables a whole new in-stream experience for audiences and creates novel business opportunities for broadcasters and VoD platforms. From infotainment to in-stream shopping.

Together with you, we want to develop our technology from proof-of-concept to product. To this end, you will support the development team in the optimisation and development of new features as a backend developer with knowledge on cloud DevOps.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development and optimisation of software for the data management of film productions in both internal and customer projects 
• Contribution to the smooth exchange of data between existing interfaces and emerging applications 
• Deployment of state-of-the-art technologies in order to develop sustainable & innovative software solutions in the cloud, built according to microservice architecture 
• Close cooperation with software product management in the evaluation and processing of test data sets from beta customers 
• Ensuring consistently high code quality through automated testing 
• Complete documentation of your work 

YOUR PROFILE

• Extensive experience as a backend developer
• Experience with CI/CD in the GitHub environment
• Solid experience with Python in web backends
• Good knowledge in the administration of AWS (optional Azure)
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields or training in the IT sector with many years of professional experience
• Commitment to good practice in software development and thorough documentation
• Strong team-working and communication skills
• Well-organised and clearly structured, agile working style
