ABOUT
Founded and based at the iconic film location Babelsberg, transfermedia production services is researching and developing state-of-the-art media technologies for film, TV and streaming. In 2022, after years of research and development and with the support of an international tech investment company, transfermedia launched jay – a pioneering metadata technology for film. Our tech solution enables a whole new in-stream experience for audiences and creates novel business opportunities for broadcasters and VoD platforms. From infotainment to in-stream shopping.
Together with you, we want to extend our technology with AI support. To this end, you will coordinate the training and testing of AI models that can recognise people, objects and fashion items in audio-visual content. You will also be in charge for preparing test data and planning the necessary infrastructure (AWS). The goal is to implement the trained AI models into our existing software tool to enable automated visual product recognition.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Main coordination of our AI project
– Implementation of data pipelines and models
– Evaluating use cases for machine learning
– Developing technical architectures for machine learning in the cloud
– Evaluating and processing of test data sets for our core technology in close collaboration with the software product management
YOUR PROFILE
– Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine learning, computer vision, informatics, or related fields
– Profound experience working as software developer with hands-on experience (front-end and back-end)
– Experience developing AI cloud applications with AWS
– Profound programming skills: Python, JavaScript, React, REST-ful API
– Knowledge of ML development frameworks
– Knowledge of ML algorithms is a plus
– Knowledge in some of the following areas, technologies and standards is a plus: ML development frameworks, microservice architecture, SaaS, OOP
– Commitment to good practice for software development and providing profound documentations
– Strong team-working and communication skills
– Well-organised and clearly structured, agile working style
– Mindset of sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance to colleagues
